Carbon Reduction Plan

Supplier Name: Seville Developments Limited

Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Seville is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2035, 15 years ahead of the government target. We are aware that reducing our Greenhouse Gas Emissions represents significant benefits for us, our customers, suppliers and the wider community.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

These emissions are calculated via the Action Sustainability, Carbon Calculator Tool.
https://www.actionsustainability.com/solutions/measurement/tools/

We commenced our measurement of our carbon footprint in April 2021 and our baseline year measurement is detailed below: (unable to now verify)

EMISSIONS TOTAL (tCO2e)
Scope 1 194.79
Scope 2 142.86
Scope 3 324.58
Total Emissions 662.23

Current Emissions Reporting – 2024 Report

EMISSIONS TOTAL (tCO2e)
Scope 1 538.60 metric tonnes
Scope 2 4.8 metric tonnes
Scope 3 55.60 metric tonnes
Total Emissions 599 metric tonnes

The data from 2024 will now be used as a baseline moving forwards.

Emissions Reduction Targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 119.8 tCO2e by 2030. Carbon Reduction Projects. This is a reduction of 80%.

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2021 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 103.23 tCO2e, approx. 10% reduction against the 2021 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract. Additionally, whilst working towards the certification of ISO14001, we have implemented policies to achieve and maintain compliance with our environmental management system.

  • Actively promoting recycling by offering to recycle our staff’s white goods.
  • Offering subsidised energy efficient lightbulbs.
  • During 2022 / 2023, we successfully diverted 98% of our waste from landfill and into sustainable recycling initiatives.
  • Employ staff local to our service areas, minimising travel and reducing lost working time and wasteful energy consumption through commuting.
  • Reducing travel by:
    • Carrying out as many meetings as possible via Zoom / Teams where appropriate.
    • Providing IT and home office equipment to employees to facilitate home offices.
    • Making use of temporary meeting spaces central to employees to reduce time and resources wasted commuting.
  • Use an efficient fleet by upgrading our current vehicle fleet to Euro 6 spec engines.
  • Utilisation of solar power by investing in a number of EcoSmart solar powered welfare units which utilise solar power to provide heating and lighting rather than diesel generators.

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Continue the rollout of the initiatives already implemented within the company, noted
    above.
  • Being the roll out of an electric fleet of vehicles.
  • Investing in tree planting projects where possible and offering as part of our Social Value / Community Impact initiative when tendering for projects.
  • Solar powered welfare units for site operations.
